Book of Daily Inspiration by Belinda O'Neill
The journey to create this book of daily inspiration began in January 2017. Following a shock cancer diagnosis for a very close family member, I used my writing as a form of self-therapy, turning my anxious and worrying thoughts into more hopeful and positive ones. I set up my brand ‘Be Inspired To Be’ on social media, sharing some of my writing, with a view of helping others who were going through a difficult time. The response to my writing over the years has been humbling, especially through the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdowns, when I think we all needed a little extra boost of inspiration. Some of the work in this book you may have seen on my social media pages, and I hope you find your favourite.
It was during the most challenging of times that I discovered my passion and my purpose. I love to write, and I had a vision many years ago of writing a book. When cancer knocks on your family’s door, it acts as a reminder of how precious life is and how quickly it can change. During this period, I fully awakened to my life, to pursuing my book writing dream. I asked myself ‘If not now, when?’
It has taken longer than I initially anticipated to create, but like all good things, they take time. I have enjoyed the journey, it’s a new experience for me coming from a finance background and it is time-consuming work, but it has been worth it!
My hope for this book, which is a combination of poetry, quotes, and reflections, is that it will inspire you to follow your dreams, your passions, and your purpose. When you are ready.
